MILK THISTLE

MilkThistle is an annual herb of Asteraceae, native to Western Europe and North Africa, with erect stem and height of about 1.2 meters. Introduced to China in 1972, because of its strong medicinal value, it was later cultivated in Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Hebei, Shaanxi and other provinces, flowering and bear fruit from May to October.

It likes a cool and dry climate, avoids high temperature, and has strong adaptability. The sandy loam with loose, fertile and well-drained soil is better. The main production areas are in Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang now.
